Canon rebel t3i
I feel you, iPhoto is kind of limited but if you are using a camera with settings that you can change, like white balance, then it gives you more options in “adjust” like shooting raw, etc.
I don’t really need to edit my photos much beside contrast and tone and saturation and simple things but I click on “adjust” and the weird graph thing on the top is called a histogram and it shows the tones from dark to light (left to right) the three sliders below it represent black, Mid, and white tones. By adjusting it you can redefine the tones, sometimes gain more contrast or lighten or darken the photo. Also “highlights and shadows” help reduce glare.
I think that’s pretty much all there is to say.
Hope I helped.
(And if you want to go beyond iPhoto and do not have the money for photoshop because who does, I recommend adobe photoshop element).
I use both but lately digital because I have no access to a dark room atm :’( But for a cheapish I recommend a thrift store or flea market.
Usually Brooklyn ones have them but if you have no luck eBay is really good as well.
I have photoshop element but it’s old and I don’t bother to learn how to use it.
